A Day of Clear Vision and Community Joy
The sight of community members waiting patiently, yet excitedly, underscored the significant need for accessible eye care. The Ghana Make A Change team, alongside dedicated volunteer optometrists and assistants, worked tirelessly to perform detailed vision tests. For many of the attendees, this was the first time they had ever received a professional eye examination.
- Comprehensive Screenings. Every participant received a thorough check-up, including vision acuity tests and screenings for common conditions.
- Immediate Relief. Prescription reading and distance glasses were dispensed on the spot to those with refractive errors.
- Early Detection. The clinic provided crucial early detection for more severe eye conditions, enabling the team to refer individuals for follow-up care.
Restoring or improving their sight is more than just a health intervention — it's restoring their ability to read, work, and fully engage with their community.
School Renovation
Transformation of Chochoe Anglican School
For years, Chochoe Anglican School was in a heartbreaking state — broken desks forced students to sit on the floor, the leaking roof made it impossible to learn when it rained, and the classrooms hadn't seen a fresh coat of paint in over a decade. Then came a turning point: Ghana Make A Change stepped in and transformed the school from top to bottom.
- Classrooms were beautifully repainted and new desks provided for every child.
- The roof was replaced to keep the rain out, and the windows were repaired.
- The bathrooms were fully renovated and the compound landscaped for a welcoming environment.
Today, Chochoe Anglican School is a place of pride, joy, and renewed purpose — a brighter future for the whole community.
