Traveling from Idaho to Accra, Ghana, is a challenging journey for me as a 6’5” medical doctor, involving about 15-18 hours of flight time and often taking two days. Despite the discomfort of cramped airplane seats, arriving in Accra fills me with relief and joy. Over four visits, I’ve formed deep, family-like connections with the people in Ghana, who treat me with incredible warmth and hospitality. Each trip reinforces my love for this community, making Ghana a cherished second home."

Ghana Make a Change has opened my eyes to the different living conditions people face and increased my desire to help. Visiting various villages, I've seen firsthand the struggles for basic necessities like clean water, food, medical care, and clothing. The organization has taught me valuable skills in raising chickens and fish farming, making me more appreciative of what I have and eager to help others. These experiences have truly made me a better person.
